On meet portable medical equipment requirements for low power LED driver

On semiconductor has launched a new single-channel CAT3661 Quad-Mode led driver for ultra low power LED applications, such as portable handheld medical equipment.

CAT3661 use patent framework, integrated fault protection and fault diagnosis, to up to 5mA's current driving a single LED backlight.

Soft-start current limiting and short circuit protection to this new device ideally suited for battery-powered devices. Typical applications include low-power LCD screen (LCD) backlight and including medical equipment, wide range of portable handheld device backlight.

CAT3661 uses only x 0.8mm 3mm 3mm x (h) of the packaging, in response to TQFN-16 available board space restricted new design engineers provide useful solutions.
