High risk of heart disease Telemonitoring system prototype (1)

1 Introduction

Cardiovascular disease is often precarious, and seriously ill, change rapidly, once the attack is likely to cause tremendous suffering of patients, or even cause syncope or sudden death.

Especially coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy and cardiac arrhythmias history, family history of sudden cardiac death, heart transplant history, illness, disease suddenly, random, high-rate features, usually sudden death in patients with acute symptoms appear after 1 hour is likely to cause death, malignant ventricular fibrillation even in 12 minutes, causing sudden death in patients suffering from serious heart disease patients referred to above shall be a high risk of heart disease [1]. Therefore, how the risk of heart disease, especially the majority of patients in the out-of-illness early diagnosis can be made before the onset of timely guidance and rescue personnel to the scene in the first instance, the implementation of the assistance is to reduce the risk of heart disease due to crowd out the timely rescue and lead to the incidence of death. ECG is the diagnosis of heart of regular and effective means to risk heart patients in syncope or sudden death is accompanied by multiple at-risk electrocardiogram [2]; use of ECG analysis of continuous dynamic monitoring, to help early detection and diagnosis of these diseases in a timely manner.

Telemonitoring in heart disease prevention and treatment has a very important role, currently has aroused the attention of scholars at home and abroad, has successfully developed the PSTN-based Telemonitoring systems, hospital telemetry ECG monitoring system, as well as the latest on embedded mobile devices of remote mobile monitoring systems [3, 4]; meet on heart disease for continuous dynamic remote ECG monitoring of basic requirements.

However, existing remote ECG monitoring system or the remote mobile ECG monitoring system in actual clinical outreach, especially for high-risk heart outside the guardianship, still exist such as patient activity scope limited, not available at the same time many people care function, does not have the patient geolocation capabilities, etc.

This article is targeted at high risk for heart disease patients in the medical monitoring of special background and clinical assistance requirements, development of a GSM/GPRS wireless mobile communication system and GPS functionality prototypes to enable out-of-risk heart patients with real-time ECG monitoring, analysis, early diagnosis, and prevention of sudden death in patients with, enhance patient's sense of security and living comfort.

2 works

This paper presents a high risk of heart disease of telemonitoring systems consist of remote mobile terminal and hospital care centre composed of two parts, a hospital care center can simultaneously monitor multiple patients.

Remote mobile terminal from patients to carry on, anytime, anywhere with ECG monitoring and real-time ECG data through the GSM/GPRS wireless mobile network to hospital care centres so that physicians timely diagnosis. When an exception occurs in patients with ECG, hospital care center will automatically alert and prompt the doctor on duty; at the same time, the Monitoring Centre's GIS system according to the mobile terminal uploading GPS information automatically indicates that patients current geographic location. Electrocardiogram with high-risk behaviour and disease symptoms of patients, made by the doctor on duty for the early diagnosis and issued instructions for help; aid officer under directives provide the geographic location of patients quickly onsite implementation assistance, prevention of sudden death in patients.

This system's primary function embedded mobile terminal is the real-time collection of three-lead ECG, on the one hand, through simple analysis in the mobile terminal displays basic information about the provision of local early-warning function; on the other hand, using batch transmission will be in compressed ECG information and GPS latitude and longitude information via the GPRS communication network to Hospital Center in monitoring system database.

Hospital care center is the entire remote real-time monitoring system of the central nervous system, whose main feature is the remote monitoring of various mobile terminal user ECG signals remote centralized monitoring, storage, analysis and diagnosis, as well as playback, printing, and Terminal parameters, status of remote monitoring; combined with GIS platform's powerful space location analysis capabilities to mobile users geographical location tracking, locating, display.

3 system development

3.1 embedded mobile terminal design

Embedded hardware design of the mobile terminal is at ARM 7 Architecture 32-bit microprocessor based on the Philips LPC2200 to Guangzhou to remote electronic company EasyARM2200 processor module is the core, extended some peripheral module that implements the electrocardiographic data acquisition module, human-computer interface modules, GPS module, as well as hospital care center communication of GPRS module, the system interface resources are fully utilized.

Figure 1 is the entire design of the hardware system architecture diagram.
