Japan has developed a new device accurately detect brainwaves

Xinhua Tokyo, 2 Mar (press blue construction) Tokyo University lecturer Suzuki Isomura and Niigata University Professor Hasegawa Isao-led research team, has recently developed a brain signal reading device.

This device does not harm the surrounding tissue, you can accurately detect brainwaves.

They first processing of polymer poly chlorinated xylene, make them leave the needle-like surface, and then use the micropores MEMS technology processing its surface, and above every 0.5 to 1 mm installation a tiny electrodes.

In experiments using monkeys, the researchers in the long and 3 cm, width 5 cm of poly chlorinated xylene material placed on 128 electrodes, the sensitivity of the device comply fully with the expected results.

Even minor activities such as active finger when brain cells emit brainwaves, devices can be accurately detected.

Insert into brain electrodes read brain signals method always exists, but the electrode function not sustainable and will damage the surrounding tissue.

And existing external EEG detector although avoiding damage to the human body, but due to the fixed electrode materials are silicone system, and the head cannot close fitting, and the interval between the electrodes are 1 cm or so, so very low sensitivity. Newly developed devices use of poly chlorinated xylene materials very soft, free-form deformation, and head surface exactly, sensitivity and to insert the electrodes of the brain.

In the future if you can send brave used wirelessly, you can let the meaning hand movement, and the ability to freely operate computers and other devices.

New technology will provide patients with spinal cord injury and so contribute to the achievement of self-care.
