Linglier-LTM4627 micro module voltage regulator can be used for medical imaging

Linglier Inc (Linear Technology Corporation) recently launched the DC/DC micro-15A module (uModule ®) regulator LTM4627, the device uses heavy 2.6g 15mm x 15mm LGA (land grid array) package, the built-in inductors, MOSFET and supporting components.

Circuit design improvements reduce the MOSFET's Gate capacitance, and, in the same circuit board area and junction temperature conditions, the more powerful MOSFET driver enables LTM4627 efficiency than 10A DC/DC uModule regulator of approximately 7%, or up to 15A load current. (Comparison criteria: 12VIN, 1.2VOUT, 10A, and LTM4600 10A micro module voltage regulator. LTM4600 x 15mm x 15mm used 2.82mm LGA packages, use x 15mm LTM4627 x 15mm 4.32mm LGA packages).

LTM4627 can 4.5V to 20V input power into 0.6V-5V output voltage to only ± 1.5% of the maximum total DC output error adjustment output.

Multiple LTM4627 devices can be connected in parallel to deliver up to the current 60A. Applications include telecommunications, servers, networks, and industrial equipment, medical imaging systems and avionics.

LTM4627 has a Board on difference and distal sampling amplifier for precise adjustment of the very low voltage and high current loads, such as: FPGA and ASIC 1.0V or below 1.0V core voltage.

When there is a large current flows to load, remote sampling can be corrected as PCB alignment of impedance voltage error arising. Output voltage tracking and soft-start-up with multiple power rail complex circuit of controlled power and power operations. The device of PLL (phase lock loop) feature allows users to synchronize to a 250kHz LTM4627 to 780kHz clock frequency, so as to avoid a possible disturbance sensitive components of a specific frequency or frequency range.
